Desktop Itch is a desktop wrapper around itch.io. We do not read, collect or transmit your itch.io credentials or browsing activity.
Your itch.io login and session cookies are stored locally on your device by the WebView2 profile under %LocalAppData%\DesktopItch\WebView2. App preferences are stored in %LocalAppData%\DesktopItch\settings.json.
The app contacts api.desktop-itch.io to check for updates. It sends only an anonymized hardware identifier (a truncated hash of hardware IDs), the app version, and the OS version. No personal data is included.
itch.io operates its own site and services subject to itch.io's privacy policy.
